Thanks for ur initiative, I have tulsi plant in pot for aprx 2 or 3 years, some time back its leaves have curled towards center , its giving new leaves but still curled, what could be the reason and any remedies, thanks

Namaste, Nice to hear that you have Tulsi of 2-3 yrs of age.
Problems may be due to the following:
Potted Plant -2-3 years
If your pot size is 12’dia with 1-1.5’ height – It’s time to repot –As the plant grows its roots will fill the pot – then stunt growth, root decay etc will set in. New pots should be 2 to 2 ½ times the size of the root ball.
If you say that the pot size is quiet big – Too little water and too much water kills the plant.
Is your pots drainage proper – If there is no room for excess water to go out then root rot is caused and plant dies gradually?
Feeding – Apart from water plants needs Nutrition too – Cow dung manure, Cow urine or good compost will do.These things should be cultivated into the soil every 3 or 4 weeks. Or just feed the Nirmalya ( Previous days flowers) and mix with the soil.
I feel these things should take care of your plant.
If you say that all above mentioned are taken care then should be
Nutrient deficiency
1. Potassium (K) deficiency resulting in Curly leaves, turns brown in color and dry.
2. Calcium (Ca) deficiency resulting in New leaves have stunned growth.
Regarding Diseases: If Tulsi is receiving correct watering, sufficient sunlight and in a pot of the correct size with good manure she will flourish.
Pest attack may not be there if you notice this pest

Hi Sashikumar ,it is very interesting to me see about your advice and high kwnolegde about ayurveda and plants. I am from Argentina and l practise and study ayurveda since 8 years ago,have being in India three times for that purpose.
